Why is my Chapstick / Lip Balm half full? 🫦

With our new Form now shipping, some questions have arisen about Chapstick fills — why does it look half full? 🌓

The answer is... all standard chapstick tubes are like this! 😱

Most tubes just aren't clear, or there is a large sticker covering the entire thing, so the inner mechanisms and fill lines typically aren't visible.

That 'empty' bottom portion of the tube holds the mechanics to push the chapstick up with each twist.

One of our values at Sphere + Sundry is transparency, and our containers echo that ethos. They also allow our Clients to keep a pulse on how much Materia they still have at any given time.

Also note that Chapstick tubes contain between 500-600 applications!

And, as with all of our wares, a little goes a truly long way, meaning a single tube really does last 💋

Chapstick sizes are standardized at 0.15 oz, which is exactly what ours also hold  🤗

Jaime nabbed someone's orange juice this morning for a clear representation (note .15 oz = 4.5 ml). And — as always we fill all our containers to the very tippiest top to try and squeeze (🍊!) as much value as possible into each and every container  ✨
